Poetry - Examples
Here are a few of my favorite poems for your enjoyment. These poems and many more will be included in my e-book Frozen Within, to be released in upcoming months.
Tidal waves of my heart's emotions,
Are washing over the shores of my soul.
With each pass of it's enormous strength,
The stones of love are slowly diminishing.
Day by day these feelings of hurt and pain.
Are slowly breaking away what once was great.
But now the wounds of time's lonely paths,
Are stripping the beauty it once held.
Why does the greatest emotion tear away our essence,
yet leaves us in search for it once again?
In the end we learn only agony,
And are left with shadows and dust.
Tears, tears, everywhere.
I watch the teardrops fall.
Tumble, tumble, tumbling down,
Making the world seem small.
Rain, rain, pouring down,
The skies are always gray.
Words, words in my mind,
But there's nothing to say.
Watch, Watch, watch the world,
Mourn the ones that die.
Tears, Tears, Falling down,
As I start to cry.
Shadows and Dust

Repaired
Can
Something So Broken,
Ever be healed?
I have waited for time,
It must be concealed.
Like a shattered glass,
That lies on the ground.
I long for a repair,
that cannot be found.
Ever be healed?
I have waited for time,
It must be concealed.
Like a shattered glass,
That lies on the ground.
I long for a repair,
that cannot be found.
Outside My Window
I sit and watch the world outside my
window.
How quickly the day turns into night.
Resignation settles over my weary,
woeful soul,
Like the snow that gently falls to
cover the ground.
My heart resonates to the dreary winter
days.
It is like a reflecting mirror that I
am looking in.
The sun hides behind the looming
clouds,
Waiting for the smallest break to show
it's rays.
The hardened ice is my mind frozen in
time.
Unyielding, immoveable, and untouchable
I can only wait for the spring to
return once again,
As I sit and watch the world outside my
window.
